Speaker Bio:
April Shoemaker has a Master of Guidance and Counseling with background in Child Development and Family Therapy. She has worked in several Child Development Centers with 20-80 children; in a Psychiatric Hospital with children from ages 4-17; and was a live-in Nanny for 2 kids, ages 2 and 4, while writing a parenting book with her 25-year old son. She has lots of stories to share in her adventures as an imperfect single mother.

Regarding bringing children: As taken directly from the PMC Bi-Laws.
Children are welcome at the general meeting; however, the parent is responsible for providing the child with a quiet activity in the back of the meeting room. Disruptive children should be taken out of the meeting room.
Members are requested to limit personal conversation while others are speaking.
